What the analyzer does

The game analyzer runs entirely in your browser using the Stockfish engine. No games are uploaded to a server. Paste your PGN, click analyze, and within seconds you have a full breakdown of every move in the game.

PGN import
Paste a PGN from Chess.com, Lichess, or any other source. The analyzer parses the full game including headers.
FEN support
Start analysis from any position using a FEN string. Useful for analyzing specific middlegame or endgame positions.
Stockfish engine
Every position is evaluated by Stockfish, one of the strongest chess engines in the world. Analysis runs locally in your browser.
Evaluation bar
A live evaluation bar shows the advantage for White or Black at each move, so you can see exactly where the game turned.
Move classification
Each move is classified: Best, Excellent, Good, Inaccuracy, Mistake, or Blunder — so you know immediately which moves cost you the most.
Best move display
For every mistake or blunder, the analyzer shows what the engine considered the best continuation, with the position it leads to.

How to analyze a game

  1. 1Play a game on Chess.com, Lichess, or any platform that exports PGN.
  2. 2Copy the PGN from your game history and paste it into the UltimaChess analyzer.
  3. 3The engine evaluates every position and classifies every move.
  4. 4Step through the game move by move. See the evaluation change and where mistakes occurred.
  5. 5Save mistakes to your review bank — then practice those positions until they stick.

Analysis that leads to improvement

Knowing you made a mistake is only the first step. The real improvement comes from understanding why a move was wrong and practicing the correct response in similar positions. UltimaChess connects game analysis directly to training — mistakes you find in the analyzer are saved so you can drill them later in the Review section.
